As part of the production of their 2nd magazine “Griffé” dedicated to Thierry Mugler, Salomé Dudemaine and Julien Sanders, fashion historians, had to collect a large amount of information on this fashion house.

It was with great pleasure that we helped them thanks to the numerous old magazines archived in our documentary collection, for example we were able to find Café de Paris publications from the 70s, and are delighted to have been cited in this respect in the magazine, alongside the Palais Galliera (fashion museum in Paris) and the INPI (French intellectual property office).

For this issue, they undertook a trip across France in search of around fifty former collaborators of the Mugler house. Their experience, their stories and some of their unpublished documents, are at the heart of the 176 pages of this work.

Griffé-2

The concept :

Griffé tells another fashion story through labels, this innovative approach immediately aroused our interest, since the work of research and dating of designs is also at the heart of our business. Fashion and vintage enthusiasts will discover a chronology of all the labels produced by the Mugler house, allowing the pieces to be dated and authenticated.

Mugler x Griffé is a bilingual French/English annual magazine (https://fr.ulule.com/griffe-2-mugler/ ) that has already found its place on our shelves, alongside their first edition dedicated to Maison Margiela!
